Avalon House is one of Dublin's most centrally located budget accommodation centres, found on the Dublin Heritage trail adjacent to St. Stephen's Green. A two-minute walk from the hostel lies Grafton Street (the main shopping street) and Temple Bar (Dublin's trendy south bank).Rooms are small dormitories and have bunk beds. Towels are not provided. Rooms are small in size and are simply but adequately furnished. Especially suited for 3 or 4 people looking for hostel budget accommodations. Rooms are all en-suite (shower and toilet). All of the rooms are in fair condition. Bed linen - sheets and quilt covers - are provided in all rooms.There is no restaurant, but a light breakfast consisting of a muffin/ juice/ fruit/ tea/ coffee is served.Originally a Victorian medical school, this hostel has a charming appearance.Small in size, with information available on the surounding area.This hostel accommodation is ideally suited for the budget and student traveller. © GTA 2009
