The hotel, one of the oldest in Umbria (1895), is located in a small square in the very heart of the city.Mixing traditional with modern and contemporary style, the rooms are elegant and equipped with every comfort expected in a 4* accommodation. The use of neutral tones, whites and wood give the rooms a relaxed yet designer feel. Paintings by Alberto Burri - one of the most important masters of contemporary art and native to the city - feature in all rooms as well as lobby and communal areas, throughout the hotel.n/aThe building that accommodates the hotel is a 17 Century palace, once a monastery of the Church of St Francis. Though not particularly large, the entrance to the hotel is elegant and takes central stage in the small square facing the hotel.Medium to large in size and elegant in style, the lobby, as well as the nearby sitting area, combines the use of marble, wood and earth/ neutral tones to create an elegant, exclusive yet warm atmosphere.The hotel was fully redecorated and restored in 2005. © GTA 2009
