Located in the heart of the monumental area of Cuenca very close to the beautiful cathedral and Hanging Houses overlooking the Huecar River Gorge. The remarkable position of the hotel offers a dramatic panorama of sunlight, shadows and breathtaking scenery.Close to restaurants, shops and museums.Tastefully furnished bedrooms in a traditional style with en-suite bathroom and in accordance with the surrounding architectural features of the building. There are different sized rooms due to the structure of the building there are standard and superior which have balcony or window overlooking the garden or river gorge. Each has its own character and all of them are cosy and welcoming. These ones have all facilities but no views over the gorge or garden.In the cosy dining room delicious breakfast can be enjoyed while admiring the views. In the dining rooms also a wide variety of traditional tapas and local dishes, accompanied by excellent regional wines, are available. Weather permitting, meals can be served in the terrace. Much better booking in advance for dinner since it gets packed with hotel guests and locals. Not available for luch service.The hotel is housed in a XVII century building which retains the past monastic characteristic for it was the San Jose choir school where boys used to gather to rehearse masses to be sung in the nearby cathedral.The lobby area is small and spartan with the charm of an old and well looked after building such as this posada. The main door leads to a little lobby turning to the left teh main looby and reception area is found.Visitors will be charmed by this unique Posada and appreciate the harmony of decoration and its superb situation.Please note that not all room types have en suite bathrrom please pay attention to the room type description. © GTA 2009
