The hotel is located on the lake promenade in the centre of Lugano the main pedistrian shopping area can be found to the side of the hotel.Due to the historical nature of the building (it was originally a monastary) the rooms vary considerably in size and shape. They are, however, medium sized on average. They are all decorated in traditional style though this also varies from room to room. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition. Some of the rooms have air conditioning.There is a cosy restaurant with a tiled floor and central skylight, plus a bar with comfortable seating and large windows. The hotel also has a terrace and gardens where guests can enjoy a drink.This is a large, traditional building.The lobby is medium sized. Once checked-in, guests take a lift up to the 1st floor where there is plentiful seating and a comfortable bar.A good hotel with friendly service and an excellent location. © GTA 2009
